Grand Bazaar is an old historic market in the South of Tehran. It is the largest bazaar in the world, 10 km (6.2 mi) in length. Aside from shops, it contains banks, mosques and guest houses.
My husband Karim and I spent hours walking along its busy passages in awe of the colours and patterns that surrounded us. At some point, we were in an alley where the walls were so tall, barely any light, but one strong beam was coming through. It didn't take me long to wait for the right moment to photograph a seller carrying a load of Persian carpets while he was illuminated by this beautiful light.
