In India, early bird gets a...broom.
There is a believe that sweeping the floor during the evening brings bad luck - something important might get swept away in the dark. So people start sweeping their floors at around sunrise. Aside from the superstitions, I'd assume it's also easier to do it in the early hours when the air is not so hot, yet.⠀
