Carvings on the Gate of All Nations, Ruins of Persepolis

First thing you see when entering the ruins of Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire, is the Gate of All Nations. The Palace is "decorated" with carvings from the late 1890s. Looks like the tradition of writing "Joe was here" dates back centuries.
