When I first visited Norway, the amount of lights coming out of houses surprised me a lot. I find it so compelling for photography, the contrast between the coldness of the snow and the warmth of the cozy home environment.
During Christmas season many Norwegians tend to leave the curtains of their houses opened and the lights on. Dark nights and Christmas lights add a magical touch to the holiday spirit and help locals survive long, cold months without sunshine.
